COVID-19 Response: In response to the COVID-19 situation, we understand this could be putting financial strain on families as well as there is some uncertainty with regards to the swim season. Our goal is to ensure kids get the opportunity to swim. In response to this we do not require any payment until we confirm the start of the season. We ask that you take the time to register your swimmer, and as the start of the season nears we will email all registrants at this time and ask for either full payment or a split payment schedule as we have offered in the past. Please do not hesitate to contact us and we will work with you to keep your swimmer in our club.
If you choose to pay in full upfront when registering and the season is altered or cancelled due to COVID-19 we will not withhold the regular $50 admin fee charged to swimmers who withdraw after registering.
We are still being positive that our swim season will take place. Our board and coaches are working with Swim Alberta as to what will be the safest practices going forward. We will keep everyone informed as we get more information.
RETURNING SWIMMERS- Priority will go to returning swimmers and family members. Online registration closes March 28th, after this date new swimmers will fill remaining available spots. Please note the new registration system will allow for online credit card payments or payment by cheque.. All families will be required to attend the mandatory onsite registration for trying on suits, swag and dropping volunteer cheques and/or payment cheques (if online credit card payment was not made).
NEW SWIMMERS- By filling out the online registration form does NOT guarantee you a spot in our swim club. Once registration is closed (March 16) we will assess our returning swimmers numbers, groups and select new swimmers based on available space. If you are accepted to the club you will be contacted via email by April 4, 2020, at which time we will invite you to attend the mandatory Onsite Registration along with all members. New swimmers will not be given the option to pay online, payment will be made only when the swimmer is invited to join the club and will be collected at the mandatory onsite registration day.
Casino Cheque: Each family must submit a $200 casino cheque deposit, dated Sept 30, 2019 at onsite registration. Please see our Volunteer Commitment form for more information on volunteer requirements.
Volunteer Cheque: Each family must submit a $300 volunteer cheque dated Aug 31, 2018 cheque at onsite registration. Please see our Volunteer Commitment form for more information on volunteer requirements.
Swim Fees - payment can be via an e-transfer or in person via cheque he onsite registration day. If you have more than one swimmer you can combine your payment on one cheque or e-transfer, to cover the "family" swim fee (ie. Tom (15) $750, Bill (7) $575, Sally (7) $325 = $1650) Instructions for e-transfer are given on registration form/receipt.

*Note for families with 3 or more swimmers: The first 2 swimmers from a family will be charged the Total Swim fees as outlined above. The next 1 or more swimmers within that family who are younger than the first 2 swimmers (lower Swim Fee), will pay a Swim Fee $325.00 per additional swimmer.
**We will only consider returning or swimmers who have a reference from another club or coach for part time swimmers (Ages 15+). Swordfish will only accept part time swimmers if we are not at capacity. Therefor please contact our registrar to be put on the waitlist for part time swimmer.
